About this Course
This course has been developed closely with industry experts to deliver a contextualised program with consideration of workplace and community situations. This enables students to develop skills for roles in emergency response teams, as workplace health and safety officers and emergency services officers. This is a comprehensive course, bringing together the tactical focus of TacMed instructors with military and emergency services background, and aligning it with industry knowledge and experience. This synergy will give you skills and mindset developed through the lessons of battlefield medicine to face rapidly evolving, dynamic first response situations; as well the ability to work with diverse people, provide pain relief medications, assess and manage risks in the workplace and much more.
Participants will be exposed to comprehensive scenarios to develop patient care and assessment skill sets.
This qualification reflects the role of first aid medical response workers or volunteers who provide initial care to patients. These people provide basic through to advanced first aid and emergency responses in the pre-hospital/out of hospital environments.
